This role primarily involves 25% sales advisory responsibilities and 75% account management responsibilities.

 

 

YOUR RESPONSABILITIES

 

25% of the time as a Sales Advisor in the branch:

 

  • Greet, guide and advise customers with the ultimate purpose of making sales while ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty;
  • Analyze customers’ requests and propose various products and services tailored to their specific needs;
  • Present and propose services of the SPI solution and describe their benefits;
  • Meet customers’ demands and identify new business opportunities;
  • Ensure that the established standards regarding branch organization are respected at all times (merchandizing, receiving and shipping, location maintenance and housekeeping, etc.);
  • Attend various training sessions and look for new ideas and products;
  • Act as support for the warehouse team when needed. 

 

75% of the time as an Account Manager:

 

  • Developing existing client accounts and growing their portfolio;
  • Prospect and develop new accounts and increase their profitability;
  • Manage assigned accounts to ensure SPI is providing the required level of service;
  • Understand client issues and then present solutions from our 360-degree offering;
  • Leverage SPI's position in the market by providing value-added products and services to enhance the customer experience.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

 

  • Sales experience a plus;
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office applications, specifically EXCEL);
  • Detailed oriented, able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently;
  • Self-motivated and self-directed;
  • Goal-oriented, able to collaborate with team members;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a good listener, a good presenter, and a people-person;
  • Data literacy – understand how to use SPI Sales Tools (CRM, dashboards);
  • Digital dexterity – understand new technologies to help manage sales territory;
  • Situational awareness – being aware of what customers need, problem solve, learn customers’ pain points;
  • Sense making – help customers evaluate information so they can prioritize options, quantify trade-offs and reconcile conflicting information;
  • Save on all sales channels - phone, text, email, virtual, in-person.
