Job Overview

As the Health & Safety Training & Audit Lead you will be responsible for the overall development, facilitation, and record maintenance for all HSE training, ensuring compliance with Mondelez standards, legislation, and Give & Go change management/success practices. Audit program execution to ensure training created capability and awareness for consistent application of processes, and evolution of the safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create, coordinate, plan, and present various forms of training to Senior Leaders, People Leaders and Individual Contributors at Give & Go.
  • Identify and address knowledge & skill gaps in HSE that would benefit from increased capability building.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop engaging training content that is tailored to the audience.
  • Coordinate training schedules and create training invitations to ensure maximum participation and room availability.
  • Present training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, interactive simulations, and videos.
  • Create training manuals, guides, and course materials.
  • Deliver and maintain training using LMS.
  • Partner with Learning & Development to align on training standards, templates, and scheduling.
  • Lead HSE audit activities at site level to validate skill /process acquisition and processes operating as intended.
  • Support Health & Safety in the development, management and implementation of internal communication initiatives and programs.
  • Perform audits, fostering a culture of teamwork, and motivation in all aspects of work.
  • Create comprehensive audit materials (or leverage the MDLZ HSE audit), including evaluations and scoring mechanisms to identify gaps, lessons learned and improvement opportunities that can be incorporated into training.
  • Utilize available metrics and analysis to develop and implement a continuous improvement strategy for training and auditing.
  • Mentor and coach team members on safety-related matters, encouraging a proactive safety culture.
  • Maintain the HSE Department Section of the Corporate Training Matrix.
  • Maintain records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments as well as retraining requirements according to G&G training guidelines, including uploading records to the Learning Management Systems.
  • Run training reports and provide data insights related to completion and other defined training metrics; Oversee reporting and dashboarding of training and audit statistics.
  • Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and emerging safety technologies to enhance safety practices.
  • Ensure all sites are prepared for relevant MDLZ or SMETA audits · Provide support to Site HSE Teams during audits and regulatory visit.

Recipe for Success

  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree in science, Communication, Training, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HSE related to communication, training, and auditing programs. · Prior experience leading or facilitating safety audits such as ISO 45001 Audits.
  • 5 years of experience in HSE related to communication, training, and auditing programs.
  • Experience managing and tracking training using learning management system (LMS)
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Canadian Standards Association guidelines, the Canada Labor Code, and other applicable Health and Safety regulations.
