Surex is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Relationship Professional to join our Eastern Canada team. 

About the role:

Reporting to the VP-Business Development the Relationship Manager is responsible and accountable for the management and growth of assigned strategic partnerships within Eastern Canada. Through your experience and expertise, you will play a key role in developing business relationships with our referral partners focused in Financial services and Mortgage sectors. Your performance will be measured against quarterly and annual quotas.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Develop and maintain referral-producing relationships with established corporate partners through frequent product awareness presentations and regular branch/site meetings
  • Provide ongoing support and act as a liaison between affinity partner representatives and Surex
  • Effectively manage a portfolio of 500+ business contacts throughout Ontario via Hubspot
  • Research target demographics, economic trends, customer needs and interests and other data that can be used to develop future partnerships with the VP- Business Development
  • Expand lead generation through relationship building, business-to-business selling and other methods to identify potential business prospects that align with Surex’s strategic priorities
  • Responsible for delivering established lead targets and active territory management
  • Present sales pitches, product reports, and other valuable data to potential prospects in a way that promotes the company brand and mission, and helps identify a need for Surex services
  • Understand Surex products and services, and be able to persuasively educate and inform potential partners on features and benefits
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify product improvements, modifications or changes that could enhance overall performance and attractiveness to ensure that the company’s products are effective represented throughout the assigned territory
  • Investigate different organizational theories and provide suggestions for ways to optimize business growth by utilizing core competencies and employee strengths
  • Generate revenue and achieve individual, team and organizational quotas, while also contributing to sales strategy by defining and implementing plans to achieve lead generation objectives

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Management, or Equivalent
    3-5 years of Business Development or Sales experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with friendly demeanor
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and duties simultaneously
  • Independently motivated, with the ability to take on tasks and duties without immediate direction
  • Proven track record with overachieving targets or quota
  • Insurance, Finance, Mortgage Industry experience preferred
