Superior Plus Propane is in search of an accomplished Market Manager who will oversee the daily functions of a local customer service center.  As the Market Manager, you will be able to manage the customer service center while building profitable operations that emphasize growth and revenues and maintain a unified team of employees that can provide customer service to build and grow the business.  The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and operations experience.

What you’ll do:

  • Advise, supervise, and direct activities of the Customer Service Center (CSC) such as: inventory, credit, service and delivery).
  • Ensure daily that the CSC is performing to budget and preparing future budgets; seek ways to improve performance and build customer base.
  • Handle customer service issues, assuring customer service is performed to the highest standard.
  • Maintain fleet and stay on top of inspections, comply with safety policies and procedures.
  • Train and develop competent personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• 10 years of operational management experience 

• Associate Degree is required in a business manager, economics, or related field 

• Experience in the propane industry is strongly preferred. Relevant experience includes: waste management, pest control, construction, trucking. 

• Ability to manage, analyze and interpret multiple P&L statements

• Customer service training, propane basics and plant operation courses. 

• Supervision and development of others

• Conflict resolution training is helpful 

• Customer and Sales experience 

• Direct responsibility for Service and Delivery managers, CSR’s, Fleet maintenance/Dispatchers 

• Experience with database and scheduling software
