The Opportunity: 
   
Postmedia Editorial Services has openings for an accomplished editor with a minimum of five years of experience in a fast-paced daily newspaper environment. 

What you’ll do:

• Our editor must have a keen eye for detail and ensure the highest quality of work is being produced.  
• She/he will have a solid understanding of news, and be equally comfortable editing arts, sports and news copy or reshaping display type.
• The successful applicant is expected to balance accuracy and speed and be fully accountable for work.
• Our editor will be a savvy communicator ina web-based chat environment, and able to give and receive instruction with grace. 
• This is a work from home position.

• Talent for writing clever headlines with clarity that capture the essence of a story;
• Excellent grammar, comprehension and editing skills; 
• Strong organizational skills with good attention to detail;
• Experience in a fast-paced daily newsroom; 
• Good interpersonal communication skills; 
• Ability to resolve conflict and solve problems; 
• Proficiency in CP style; 
• Experience slotting a daily newspaper;
• Pagination skills, with a strong design sense.
