Slopes Maintenance (Summer)

Description:

Summer Slopes Maintenance Crew are responsible for maintenance on snowmaking equipment, pumpstations, trail maintenance and snowmaking setup.  There is a wide range on mountain work, accessible by 4x4, ATV and on foot.

Essential Functions:

• Operate ATVs and trucks
• Operate excavators and telehandlers
• Operate chainsaws and brush saws
• Test and repair snowmaking guns and hoses
• Test and repair snowmaking hydrants
• Maintain access roads and ski trails
• Work and interact with other departments as required.
• Setup of snowmaking equipment
• Perform maintenance and provide record keeping of all snowmaking equipment and snowmaking infrastructure.

Experience/Requirements:

• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
• Proficient time management and communication ability
• Strong situational awareness and decision-making ability
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Previous snowmaking experience is an asset
• Previous machinery experience is an asset
