Monday    8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Tuesday    8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Wednesday    8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Thursday    8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Friday    8 a.m. - 1 p.m.

 

About the Job:

We are looking for a Dental Hygienist to join our team - providing excellent patient centric care is our passion!

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will uphold the highest standards of patient care and be passionate about educating on the treatment that will ensure the best outcome for their patients.

  • Adhere to and uphold the highest standards of infection control practices and guidelines, including while processing instruments and treatment rooms
  • Medical health history screening and updates
  • Conduct baseline and routine assessments (including full mouth charting, probing, oral cancer screening)
  • Radiographs (as prescribed by the Dentist) or dental impressions as required
  • Identify conditions and oral disease such as: gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
  • Dental Hygiene treatment planning including patient specific preventive dental care (scaling, prophy, fluoride etc. as required)
  • Educate patients by providing oral hygiene instruction, plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions as required
  • Maintain accurate documentation/charting
  • Collaborate with the team to monitor supplies
  • Identify gaps in clinical schedule and assist with scheduling, such as: booking preventive recall appointments, following up with outstanding treatment plans
  • Collaborate with colleagues during down-time in schedule (Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants Dentists and Administration)
  • Attend continuing education events from time to time and as required

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Dental Hygiene
  • Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with the CDHO
  • Outstanding communication skills and attention to detail
  • A friendly personality who works collaboratively with a team!
