Pharmacist

Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a part-time Pharmacist to join "Spencer’s Pharmacy" located in Oxbow, Saskatchewan.

Spencer’s Pharmacy has been in operation since 1894, the store is not large but has provided the community with a wide variety of merchandise and services over the years. It is the place to go for prescriptions, other healthcare items.

The pharmacy supports the community in other ways as well, all groups doing any fundraising know that Spencer’s Pharmacy will be supporting them. Spencer’s Pharmacy is currently providing care to residents of a two long –term care facilities. Join our team and make a difference!”

Position Details:

24-32 hours per week

Hours-9am-5:30pm, no weekends!

Patient Focused Care Responsibilities:  

The Pharmacist is responsible for providing safe, effective, and appropriate drug therapy and actively contributes to an environment of employee and customer engagement. The Pharmacist will play a key role in achieving departmental excellence in the areas of patient focused care, customer service and workflow efficiencies.  

Focus on clinical services (i.e., medication reviews, disease state management)   

Initiate care plans, follow up and document  

Administer vaccines   

Determine the appropriateness of drug therapy  

Monitor medication adherence  

Collect and document relevant patient, drug, and disease information  

Recommend OTC products and vitamins  

Answer questions from patients that require therapeutic knowledge, clinical analysis, or assessment  

Supervise a pharmacy student or a provisional pharmacist in the performance of restricted activities  

Other duties as required  

Qualifications & Skills: 

Experience in Kroll 

Experience working in a retail environment 

Good communication skills (both oral and written) 

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail 

Ability to work independently as well as within a team
