Job Title: Industrial Millwright/Senior Operations Assistant

Location: G3 Thunder Bay

The Industrial Millwright/Senior Operations Assistant is responsible for performing duties related to maintaining all grain handling equipment throughout the Elevator/Terminal to support receiving and shipping grain by rail or vessels.

Responsibilities and duties include but not limited to:

Maintaining critical equipment daily and maintaining monthly maintenance log (All Leg Gear Boxes, Elevating Legs, Dust Control Centres, All Screws, All Conveyor Belts, All Drag Conveyors, Spouting, All Cleaner Machines, Air Compressors and Loading/Shipping Spouts, Grain Sampling Systems)

• Trains, coaches and leads by example, junior employees
• Ensures physical facilities/maintenance shops are clean, efficient and well-maintained and communicate maintenance needs as required.
• Accountable for daily maintenance expectations according to supervisor/management instructions.
• Complies with environmental standards and all industry regulatory requirements
• Support management team in staff training
• Operates Terminal control systems
• Complies with requirements of G3’s Food Safety Quality Management System (FSQMS)
• Complies with all Environmental Health and Safety Programs (EHS)
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Be able to work in confined spaces
• Be able to work at heights

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in an industrial setting
• Certified Industrial Millwright or RedSeal an asset
• Previous experience in ag industry/port terminal an asset.
