Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.

 

 

The Opportunity: We’re looking for an individual to work in a partnership with the myFlex Account Executive by providing comprehensive account management services covering all aspects of servicing beyond the general sales activity. This includes installation of new Benefits plans, management of all renewal activities, management of amendment activities, training clients on procedures and systems, handling general inquiries and assisting with finalist presentations if requested.

 

 


What you will be doing:

  • Work in partnership with the Account Executives in their management of advisor relationships by working closely with the advisor service teams in a proactive manner
  • Provide superior client service directly to plan sponsors and advisors by anticipating their needs and ensuring those needs are met
  • Work with the Account Executives and myFlex Benefits Specialists to ensure responsive service standards are met or exceeded
  • Ensure a positive service experience for plan sponsors as their primary relationship manager for implementations, renewals and amendments
  • This role is part of a service team and needs to work collaboratively with other team members. There is an expectation that team members can back each other up (across roles and regions) as work volumes require. Clients generally expect a same day response to service requests so flexibility in resourcing is very important

 

 


What you will bring:

  • 3+ years of employee benefit insurance experience
  • Demonstrated analytical, time-management, problem solving, negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills, including active listening and the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
  • High level of attention to detail and a proactive mindset
  • Demonstrated presentation and training skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of group insurance and the ability to learn Equitable processes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of rating methodology and myFlex pooling arrangement
  • The myFlex Solutions Account Manager needs to apply a client-first mindset and needs a working knowledge of every policyholder to provide effective service to maximize client satisfaction and retention
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and evolving priorities
  • Requires flexibility to travel (on an infrequent and as needed basis) with access to a reliable vehicle
  • Experience using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams. With the ability to learn and apply new system applications (including BMS and web portals).
  • Bilingual in French and English, written and spoken is an asset
