Quality Engineer

Your Role at Prestone
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team at Prestone Torrance. This is a position where you will be responsible for maintaining the company's quality management systems. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet our standard and your work will directly impact the satisfaction of our customers. This role requires a candidate who is a problem-solver, detail-oriented, and passionate about continuous improvement.
What You'll Be Doing
• Maintain a formal quality improvement program, including supporting methodology, tools and training materials with a continuous improvement mind set.
• Assess critical-to-quality gaps, determine root causes, build business cases for improvement opportunities, and implement control procedures to measure and monitor results.
• Support global IATF qualifications, documentation and reporting requirements.
• Investigates and manages non-conforming batches and finished products.
• Provides technical assistance to other departments, suppliers and customers as needed.
• Provide training and support to the production team on quality control procedures and standards.
• Builds relationships with business leaders to understand business objectives and priorities, and to collaboratively identify quality improvement initiatives.

What You'll Bring
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field/experience
• 5 years Quality experience.
• Strong leadership, ability to work in a highly collaborative and driven team environment.
• Working knowledge of various solid/liquid testing equipment
• Proven computer skill set including Microsoft Office.
• Quality Core Tools (PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D CAR)
• Good organizational, verbal, written communication, and listening skills. Ability to accurately communicate complex information to a wide variety of people.
