We are advancing an exciting product pipeline to address indications with high unmet medical need, including epilepsy and depression. Our flagship azetukalner program represents the most advanced potassium channel modulator in clinical development for multiple indications. Building upon the positive results and compelling data from our Phase 2b “X-TOLE” study in adult patients with focal epilepsy, our Phase 3 epilepsy program includes multiple clinical trials evaluating azetukalner in patients with focal onset seizures and primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures. In 2024, we are planning to initiate a Phase 3 azetukalner program in major depressive disorder, based on topline data from our Phase 2 “X-NOVA” clinical trial. In addition, we are proud of the leading-edge science coming out of our discovery labs, including early-stage research programs that leverage our extensive ion channel expertise and drug discovery capabilities to identify validated drug targets and develop new product candidates. About the Role:

We are seeking a Manager, Commercial Analytics to join the commercial team. The Manager will support data analytics needs in both epilepsy and major depressive disorder (MDD) to inform key strategic decisions. Additionally, this manager will play a versatile role in supporting other functions of the commercial team, including forecasting and market research. The Manager will work independently and collaboratively as a key member of a cross functional team focusing on analytical support and evaluation of pipeline candidates.

This position reports to the Business Analytics Lead and will be located in Boston, MA, USA. The level of the position will be commensurate with the candidate’s education and industry experience. Relocation and immigration support will be provided, if required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead data analytics within commercial; manage existing data sets and  initiate additional methods to answer key commercial business questions. 
  • Analyze and build deliverable of quarterly branded anti-seizure medication and anti-depressant prescription data.  Deliverables include presentations and reports, as well as other data visualization tools.
  • Collaborate with commercial and cross-functional stakeholders to identify dataset needs and plan/execute analysis
  • Lead data vendor exploration and manage vendor relationships in accordance with Legal and IT requirements
  • Identify and evaluate new datasets that further commercial objectives (e.g. expand knowledge of branded competitors)
  • Provide data analysis into forecasting, marketing, and market access functions
  • Create effective deliverables to communicate data findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders
  • Provide strategic and data analytics feedback to market research projects and support project execution with vendor management and monitoring of data collection, data analysis, and interpretation
  • Design, build, and deploy data solutions in the form of reports and dashboards
  • Manage commercial forecast, including assumptions updates, model refreshes, deliverables creation
  • Support both epilepsy and MDD indications, with a greater focus on MDD and potential future neuropsych indications
  • Develop and propose short- and long-term objectives for the function in accordance with overall Company strategies and plans
  • Act in accordance with Company policies, including, for example, Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and ensure policies are understood and followed by direct reports, if any
  • Some international travel may be required
  • Other duties may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in a healthcare related field is required; Graduate degree in business or healthcare is preferred
  • Pharmaceutical/Healthcare consulting experience is a plus
  • 2+ years in the pharmaceutical space conducting data analysis
  • Track record of successfully driving change and delivering results in ambiguous environments and working in a high performing matrix organization
  • Strong critical thinking skills with ability to frame business issues and apply data analysis to support real-time decision-making. 
  • Strong business acumen who has translational capabilities between data analytics and business questions
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment with multiple priorities that require strong project management and decision-making capabilities
  • Resourceful and creative — must bring fresh insights to a dynamic business environment
  • Ability to establish mutually productive and positive relationships with internal and external groups
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment with Legal and Compliance organizations 


The base salary range for this role is $120,800 to $155,300 USD; we will consider above this range for exceptional candidates. Base salary is determined by a combination of factors including, but not limited to, education and other qualifications, years of relevant experience, and internal equity.
