Structured Cable Installer

As a Structured Cable Installer, your responsibilities include reviewing, understanding, analyzing (for accuracy), and implementing installation blueprints and plans provided by Project Managers and Sales Teams. You are expected to ensure correct completion of installations, follow the Bill of Materials (BOM), and adjust or find alternative solutions to ensure client satisfaction.

Job Duties

  • Distributed Antenna systems, Inbuilding systems
  • Proficient in installing and servicing cabling infrastructure and devices for Data, audio, Visual, and CCTV, including pre-wiring, installation, termination, labeling, testing, and reporting as per specifications and drawings.
  • Skilled in installing network racks and cabinets in server rooms.
  • Capable of interacting with customers and prospects professionally and respectfully handling all inquiries.
  • Committed to adhering to Quality and Safety programs.
  • Diligent in completing detailed and accurate documentation, including OHS checks, packing slips, checklists, as-builts, and test results.
  • Committed to consistently providing high levels of customer service.
  • Willingness to accommodate travel and overtime if required.
  • Prepared to carry out any additional duties as necessary.


Requirements

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
  • Technical Diploma or Degree (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in steel manufacturing with hands-on custom manufacturing experience; This may include misc. metals, structural, and custom fabrication-type projects.
  • Experienced in steel manufacturing methodologies and requirements.
  • Able to exercise initiative, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Able to set priorities and communicate effectively.
  • Able to remain calm and poised in urgent situations.
  • Able to plan (strategic and short-term) and organize effectively.
  • Able to manage diverse teams.
  • Demonstrates competence in communication, professionalism, organizational, analytical, and technical skills, and knowledge in performing duties and responsibilities.

Work Conditions

  • Full-time office and fabrication facility
  • Manual dexterity to use desktop computers and peripherals.
  • Interacts with upper and middle management, employees, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Repetitive work.
  • Overtime, as required.
