About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity to support our Canadian team as a Franchise Sales Manager & MUO Consolidation based in the Ontario region. Manager, Franchise Sales & Consolidation facilitates the execution of the overall market plan of multi-unit owner consolidation by providing objective thought as the plan evolves cross-functionally.  The person will assist in executing the market plan through rigorous review and recommendations regarding all submitted store transfers that may include financial workouts, store closures, or purchase, remodel, and development of new Restaurants.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Facilitates execution of cross-functional Market Consolidation plans that build multi-unit owner clusters driving operational synergies and franchisee profitability.  Educate and guide franchisees regarding the benefits of market consolidation. 
  •  Evaluate and identify franchisees who are qualified to grow their portfolio by acquiring existing restaurants and build new restaurants.
  • Evaluate submitted restaurant transfers and make cross-functional recommendations that drive the overall market optimization plan.
  • Complete rigorous financial analysis and recommendations regarding requested store closures and the possibility of transferring the restaurant to new or existing franchisees.
  • Attend Franchise Shows and Expos to recruit new multi-unit owners to Subway.
  • Build, develop and maintain relationships with existing franchisees and new multi-unit operators.  
  • Implement consolidation strategies using market mapping tools and drive restaurant to franchisee ratio.
  • Implement market expansion plans by coaching and mentoring franchisees and acting as a brand ambassador all the time.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business or equivalent experience.
  • Must have a positive attitude, be self-motivating, and have excellent time management and communication skills, good relationship building skills, flexible and detail oriented.
  • Management of mergers and acquisitions, financial workout, and financial consulting preferably in a QSR environment.  Business valuation and brokerage negotiation.  Record of budget and financial accomplishments.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of people and experience leading cross-functional decision-making.
  • Experience or understanding of overall market planning.  Knowledge of franchise and licensing law, regulations, and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of Strategic Planning, Sales Analysis, Consumer Insights and Brand Management.  
  • Must have experience using the following programs/tools, MS Outlook, MS Teams, Smartsheet, Excel, PowerPoint, Sitewise.
  • Some travel within the territory required.

Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, qualifications, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
