Position Summary

To operate equipment and pick up and deliver freight in a professional, safe, and efficient manner which is in accordance with company policies and procedures and legislative requirements

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all applicable legislation, regulations, company policies & standard operating procedures including Canada Health & Safety Act, Ministry of Transportation, United States Department of Transport
• Present a professional image to internal partners and customers
• Safe operation of a tractor-trailer
• Secure loads (van, flatbed, roll-tarp)
• Ensure loads meet weight requirements
• Preform pre and post trip inspections including CT-PAT inspections are required
• Complete required paperwork
• Maintain an electronic log
• Liaison with internal and external parties including customers, co-workers, border security, and customs
• Other duties as assigned

Fiscal Responsibility

• Ensure bills of lading are completed

Qualifications

• igHighValid AZ Driver’s License
• Valid Passport or Fast Care or Enhanced Ontario Driver’s License (working in Canada and United States)
