GENERAL SUMMARY: The Product Marketing Manager is part of Hitachi Construction Machinery (HCM) Digital Solutions Division. Reporting to the GM New Business Strategy, the Product Marketing Manager is responsible for developing effective marketing strategies and content to communicate the features and benefits of HCM and group company offered Asset Health and ESG related digital mining solutions to key audiences such as mining (or related industry) customers, HCM executives and dealers, ecosystem partners, and the general public.

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS:

Key Deliverables and Responsibilities:

  • Lead Go-to-Market strategy plan creation for digital products and solutions
  • Create simple to understand Product Communications Brief that includes solution messaging and positioning that drive global marketing and sales content
  • Lead marketing content creation (white papers, use cases, webinar presentations, blogs etc.) to target audiences
  • Develop presentations on HCM digital solutions for use by self, Sales and Executives
  • Support Product and Solution Management in the research and documentation of market needs, competitive trends, win-loss analysis and company SWOT for use in business and solution planning
  • Support Product and Solution validation with customers and partners in collaboration with HCM Proof of Value team
  • Research and create competitive positioning documents in collaboration with Solution Management and Technical Sales
  • Collaborate with HCM Global Sales in creation of consolidated CRM system (SalesForce.com)
  • Ad-hoc requests as required

 

 

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY REQUIRED:

Experience required is indicative only. All other job specifications must be met.

Experience and Knowledge

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in product marketing, product management, strategic analysis or a similar role
  • Proven ability to create digital marketing content including white papers, use cases, presentations, competitive analysis, etc.
  • Experience creating and delivering product presentations to customers, partners and senior executives
  • Demonstrated understanding of multi-media business tools including  Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) or equivalent, graphics and illustration tools (e.g. Adobe), Social Media (LinkedIn, Facebook etc.) and collaboration tools (e.g. SharePoint, Google Docs etc.)
  • Experience with CRM and lead management tools such as SalesForce.com
  • Experience in Mining industry, particularly for Digital transformation solutions focusing on mobile machine Asset Health and/or Sustainability, is a strong preference

 

Skills and Abilities

  • Very strong communication skills, including the ability to write clear, formal business communications
  • Ability to understand, learn and apply new processes
  • High demonstrated proficiency in PowerPoint and related graphics tools, online tools for social media and website development, whitepaper and other documentation creation, in addition to traditional Microsoft Office and Adobe program software (Word, Excel, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Detail oriented and able to gather information from multiple resources
  • Strong interpersonal skills

 

Base salary of CAD $105,000 - $135,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
