Associate Veterinarian - Gander Veterinary Clinic

Gander Veterinary Clinic is a full-service, companion animal veterinary practice that has been serving Gander and a large portion of surrounding areas of central Newfoundland for over 30 years. We have an outstanding team of compassionate staff that works hard to meet the unique medical needs of the pets visiting us. From surgical and medical services to dental care and pet wellness, we offer a range of services. Our veterinarians are dedicated to meeting our patients’ specific needs through preventative care, regular exams, surgical procedures and other medical services.  

Our Services: Our hospital is equipped with ultrasound, a surgical suite, digital x-ray, and laser therapy. We use MLS laser therapy post-surgery to help reduce pain and promote faster healing. We perform most of our diagnostic services at our clinic using the in-house lab equipment, allowing our veterinarians to get blood results on the same day. We also conduct muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary system X-ray for our patients.  

Our clinic is open five days a week and not open any evenings or weekends. We have a shared on-call arrangement with other clinics in the area, offering a very flexible work-life balance.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Licensed (or eligibility) to practice veterinary medicine in Newfoundland
• Passion for veterinary medicine and daily work
• Enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude
• A strong desire to educate and build lasting relationships with clients
• Excellent communication skills, both with clients and team members
