About Us   

VetStrategy is a 100% Canadian operated group of veterinary clinics with locations throughout Canada. We believe that veterinary clinics are an integral part of the community they serve and as such we put a large focus on community-based activities and initiatives. Every clinic we partner with is unique and serves a very diverse client base.   

The Deer Park Pet Hospital, is part of the VetStrategy group of clinics located in Red Deer, Alberta. We are open Monday – Friday 8:00 – 5:30. 

The Deer Park Pet Hospital was originally founded by Dr. Patrick Higgins over 30 years ago. We treat owners pets like the valued family members they are. Some of our machinery includes CO2 laser scalpel, digital radiographic equipment (including dental x-ray), in-house bloodwork machines and digital monitoring equipment. 

Located halfway between both Edmonton and Calgary, Red Deer offers endless possibilities for residents to get involved and connected to the great outdoors! For sport and recreation fans, there is a wide variety of lakes, parks and trails to explore all across, around or just a short distance from the City, as well as several state-of-the-art recreational facilities. If winter sports are your thing you’ll have a great opportunity to enjoy arena activities, cross country skiing and snowmobiling. Red Deer literally has something for everyone.

What You Bring    

• The ideal candidate will have 1+ yrs of experience.
• Flexible and adaptable to evolving veterinary practices and technologies.  
• Capable of handling a variety of cases and situations with composure and professionalism.  
• Relationships are important to you. You easily build strong and trusting relationships with clients.
• Effective communication: You understand the importance of client relationship management and education in promoting animal health and can remain composed during challenging situations. 
• Empathy for animals and their owners is a must.  
• You work well in the face of an emergent case.
• You work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Everyone on the team is important and has a voice.
