Job Purpose:


The Manager, Institutional Sales works directly with the Managing Director, Institutional Sales, to play an integral role in outbound sales prosecting in the Canadian marketplace, targeting the institutional segment, including pension plans, endowment/foundations, financial institutions, and consulting community to achieve significant net sales results.


Primary Accountabilities:


  • Communicate effectively with external clients demonstrating detailed knowledge of the firm’s products and services.
  • Develop and maintain successful client relationships through timely customer-focused communications.
  • Manage existing client relationships; conduct quarterly reviews and identify and communicate customer needs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand the firm’s network and scope of services for existing and potential clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date client files.
  • Assist in marketing efforts, including creating client presentations, webinars, and educational materials.
  • Participate and engage in client events and seminars as required.
  • Adhere to all organizational compliance and regulatory policies, ensuring accurate documentation of client interactions.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales, particularly in the financial or institutional sector
  • Strong understanding of financial products and services
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office Suite Salesforce, Dataphile, Bloomberg, and other Industry based software applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and events.
  • Completion of the CSC or EMD licensing would be an asset.
