As an Engineering Services Manager, you will have the goal of continuous improvement in mind by creating and promoting opportunities for uniformity across our Modelling Systems and Engineering groups. Additionally, you will also develop and maintain engineering procedures to standardize and streamline our methods of operation. As a manager, you will oversee a team and delegate tasks to address and resolve software related issues.   

  

To excel in this position, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining complex systems and lead change management, involving diverse projects and continuous technological innovations. You must be technically inclined, analytical, and have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. 

 

Location: 160 Consolidated Drive, Paris, ON 

Dedicated Shift: 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday Friday 

 

Knowledge and Skills: 

  • Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to design and develop systems by identifying and meeting project requirements, creating strategies to optimize daily project operations, and ensure compliance with relevant industry policies and standards. 
  • Work closely with IT to define computer systems requirements, configurations and securities for Solidworks, Simulation and PDM. 
  • Manage PDM by developing workflows, creating integration with other business software, addressing issues, implementing improvements, and completing upgrades. 
  • Oversee training agreements, and licensing of all Engineering software such as Solidworks, Simulation, PDM, Cadonix, and Draftsight.   
  • Conduct regular assessments to ensure procedures comply with relevant industry policies and standards. 
  • Manage team members to assist users with modelling issues, steering users toward existing best practices and coaching users to follow standards. 
  • Chair ECN, Product Manager and other Engineering related meetings. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Possess an engineering degree, technology diploma, or equivalent. 
  • Certification and an expert level of understanding in the SolidWorks suite of products. 
  • Strong understanding of SQL, VBA, and C languages.  
  • Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and able to deal with changing priorities, delays or unexpected events. 
  • Good organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal). 
  • Able to effectively troubleshoot and problem solve.
