Reporting to the Director of Supply, this position is responsible for ensuring the supply for North American Wholesale customers. This role supports existing customer/supplier relationships and new customer/supplier business within the business group, to identify the most economical supply locations to secure propane that best suits the needs of NA Wholesale customers. In addition to supporting the supply, they are responsible for analyzing and managing the monthly supply positions to ensure availability of adequate supply.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and support internal and external customer relationships for North American Wholesale geographic region
  • Monitor customer contract performance
  • Analyze and secure propane supply position for Superior Propane and NA Wholesale customers/suppliers, anticipating and communicating customers/suppliers needs
  • Monitor inventory levels and flag the need to purchase and/or sell supply based on Superior Propane and NA Wholesale demand
  • Supplies reporting and documentation on key geographic markets on a regular basis
  • Build relationships with sellers with frequent touch points (in-person, phone, email, text)
  • Entering contracts into RightAngle
  • Build contracts dashboards, using Power BI experience
  • Answer questions on contracts and terms
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory sheets, direct contact with schedules
  • Ensure the Cavern Inventory positions for both SGL and Kiva
  • Manage the S/D model(s)
  • Point of contact for RightAngle contract entries and amendments
  • Connect with producers regularly about production levels and report back to Supply Directors, US and Canada, with concerns
  • Responsible for lifting reports, ensuring accuracy, benchmarking NA Wholesale supply position performance requirements, connecting with supply and sales teams accordingly
  • Frequent contact with producers and operators to ensure forecasted production is in line with contracted expectation
  • Analyze and manage supply points inventory, and report to Management
  • Work closely with NA Wholesale Schedulers (truck and rail) for product takeaway
  • Provide updates to the Analyst managing the Supply/Demand model for accuracy and Risk Reporting 

What you bring:

  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration preferred
  • 3-5 years of supply or marketer experience in the NGL/LPG/Propane industry
  • Understanding of pricing dynamics, including supply and freight
  • Effective communicator in person and digitally, with excellent written and verbal skills at all levels
  • In-depth knowledge of commodity/LPG/Propane industry operations and pricing
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities and demands
  • Customer relationship management skills
  • Previous commodity experience with market and pricing knowledge
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, PowerBI
  • Self-directed with the ability to build relationships within the organization and with customers/suppliers; fluency in French (written and verbal) is an asset
