Marketing Administrator: Job Description

 

Job Description:

Decision-Making

Ability & Authorities:

We need an administrator who can contribute data analysis and market research facts to allow the Marketing Manager to make informed decisions. You should be able to prioritize tasks effectively and adapt to changing circumstances. Your decisions will significantly impact the success of our marketing campaigns and overall strategy.

Specifically, this person will the authority to:

  1. Develop relationships with external organizations (e.g., advertising and public relations agencies; market research firms; etc.) as necessary or as directed by the Marketing Manager to assist with the development and implementation of Spirit of Math’s North American marketing efforts.
  2. Freedom to work with the Spirit of Math community to coordinate needs for Marketing department on an ad-hoc basis.
  3. Assist in the creation of compelling material to help promote Spirit of Math in the community.

Education Requirements:

We are looking for candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent. While a background in marketing is not required, an interest in marketing and a willingness to learn are essential. Practical experience through internships, part-time jobs, or volunteer work is highly valued.

Skills, Knowledge, &

Experience:

Our ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring that all marketing activities are executed flawlessly. Proficiency in administrative tasks such as scheduling, document management, and event coordination is essential. Additionally, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for collaborating with team members and stakeholders effectively.

A solid understanding of basic marketing principles and a keen interest in the field are highly valued. Familiarity with marketing tools and software, such as CRM systems and analytics platforms, will be beneficial. While prior experience in a marketing role is not mandatory, any exposure to marketing concepts through internships, part-time jobs, or coursework will be advantageous.

Experience in data analysis and the ability to interpret and present data-driven insights are important for this role. The candidate should be comfortable using spreadsheets and other data management tools to track and analyze campaign performance. A proactive approach to learning and staying updated with the latest marketing trends and technologies will help you thrive in this dynamic environment.

 

 Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar marketing or administrative role.

 

 Skills:

  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage various projects simultaneously.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing data and generating actionable insights.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with marketing software and tools, such as CRM systems and analytics platforms.
  • Creativity: Ability to contribute to creative marketing strategies and content.

 

 Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:    This position has the following key responsibilities:

  • Campaign Coordination: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing campaigns.
  • Administrative Tasks: Handle daily administrative duties such as organizing marketing materials, inbound department requests, coordinating events, and assisting in managing marketing calendars.
  • Market Research: Conduct research to understand and present market trends, target audiences, and consumer needs.
  • Data Analysis: Track and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns to ensure effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
  • Content Creation: Assist in creating marketing content, including social media posts, newsletters, and promotional materials.
  • Reporting: Compile comprehensive reports and present
