Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards, the Total Rewards Analyst will be the subject matter expert for Benefits and Pension. The Total Rewards Analyst will work with multiple stakeholders, and is responsible for the effective administration of the benefits, pension and employee discount programs. The Analyst will lead and support the flexible benefits enrolment process, vendor management, pension compliance, union negotiations, etc.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for administering benefits and pension programs, including day-to-day administration of employee eligibility, responding to queries in a timely manner.
  • Lead the bi-annual benefits enrolment process. Work closely with the Dayforce team to manage the process via Dayforce.
  • Provide training and communication to HR Team on benefits and pension changes.
  • Supports and participates in pension audits.
  • Conducts regular benefits and pension audit
  • Along with Director, Total Rewards, work closely with vendors and consultants to ensure the effective management of Sofina plans and service levels are met
    Support union collective bargaining negotiations for benefit and pension.
  • Support recommendations for plan design changes.
  • Provide support for Total Rewards Specialist (Compensation) as required.
    Tracking and processing of vendor invoices on a monthly basis.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Math or related discipline is required.
  • Minimum 2-3 years in Human Resources experience required;
  • Experience/knowledge of benefits and pension plans in a multi unionized environment as asset.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with MS Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint;
