Restaurant Operations Coordinator - Quick Service

Science North is looking for someone to coordinate day-to-day operations in our 100 seat on-site quick service restaurant, servicing visitors to our site, walk-ins, the Science North workforce, function participants and school groups. This is a 1-year contract position (15-30 hours/week) requiring availability for day, evening, weekend, and holiday work.

The successful candidate will be responsible for input into menu planning and directing food preparation, ordering, supporting inventory control and monitoring food handling and sanitation standards. Responsibilities include; ensuring restaurant and customer service standards are met, training, tasking, coaching, motivating and coordinating and monitoring the work of up to 10 part-time employees. Position requirements include knowledge of and experience in the food service industry including food preparation and handling, strong leadership, interpersonal and customer service skills.
