STEM Communicator – Outreach (Sault Ste. Marie)

$1,435 bi-weekly

We are looking for communication enthusiasts that crave the rush of delivering impactful and creative STEM programs on the latest topics.

What your time would look like:

As the STEM Communicator you will be a key member of the Education and Northern Programs team, delivering and supporting outreach programs for students and members of the public of all ages across Northern Ontario. You’ll be delivering high-quality programming and a number of STEM topics and delve deeply into the exciting topic of digital literacy and navigating the rising threat of online misinformation and disinformation.

 

You will travel throughout Northern Ontario to present STEM concepts to audiences in schools, libraries and other community based centres, fairs and festivals. Your best opportunity for success will see you have experience working in STEM and with youth along with program delivery. Your exceptional verbal communication skills in English (French language skills would be an asset), strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities will serve you well in the role. As you will be driving to locations across Northern Ontario you must be 21 years of age, possess a valid full G license and a 3 year safe driving record (non-negotiable).
