Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced JD Edwards E1 Application Support Analyst to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application support, problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead technical projects. As a Application Support Analyst, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support for our applications, ensuring their optimal performance, and facilitating smooth operations across various business units.

 

Responsibilities

 

  1. Application Support and Troubleshooting:
    • Provide advanced technical support for complex application issues and escalate unresolved issues to appropriate teams.
    • Analyze application logs and performance metrics to identify and resolve issues promptly.
    • Collaborate with developers and vendors to diagnose and address application-related problems.
  2. Incident Management:
    • Manage and prioritize incident tickets, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
    • Coordinate with other IT teams and departments to ensure effective incident management and communication.
  3. System Maintenance and Upgrades:
    • Oversee routine maintenance, patches, and upgrades for applications to ensure stability and security.
    • Plan and execute application deployments, ensuring minimal disruption to end-users.
  4. Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
    • Monitor application performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
    • Implement and manage performance tuning strategies to improve application efficiency.
  5. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for application support processes, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge bases.
    • Prepare and present reports on application performance, incidents, and support activities to management.
  6. User Support and Training:
    • Provide expert guidance and support to end-users, including troubleshooting and resolving complex user issues.
    • Develop and deliver training materials and sessions to enhance user knowledge and application proficiency.
  7. Project Management:
    • Lead and participate in application-related projects, including system upgrades, integrations, and new implementations.
    • Collaborate with project teams to define requirements, scope, and deliverables for application projects.
  8. Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance application support efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to apply innovative solutions and technologies.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. JD Edwards EnterpriseOne certifications  are a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of JD Edwards (JDE) support, configure, implement with a strong knowledge of the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Technical Foundation tools and CNC functionality.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • A customer first attitude to maintain and improve satisfaction.
    • Ability to work effectively in a goal-oriented team environment.
    • Ability to quickly grasp, articulate and document complicated business and technical issues.
