Reporting to the Commercial FP&A Director, the Manager will be the finance business partner of Recochem’s commercial team in Canada and the US and will support the future expansion of the company to become the leader of transportation products in North America.

You will be responsible to develop and maintain a set of monthly operating reports, dashboards and key performance indicators that will provide insights into the performance of the business and the execution of our key business initiatives. You will support projects and new business ventures as we continue our development into new markets.

This position will be based in Montreal, Quebec on a hybrid model which provides the ability to work from home 2 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business analytics:
    • Provide analysis of monthly financial results and prepare monthly operating reports for the management team of the North American division including the interpretation of current month performance information as a predictive tool for attainment of full year performance expectations.
    • You will play a key role in the budgeting and forecasting process of the North American division, including the development of detailed financial models and the analysis of financial data to ensure accuracy and alignment with the company's overall strategy.
    • Provide deep insight to the sales, marketing and management teams regarding the sales dynamics (market and volume trends, price evolution, mix changes, segments and SKU performance, POS data, leads conversion, etc.) and marketing spend effectiveness.
    • Create and maintain KPIs and dashboards allowing the sales and marketing teams to measure progress against strategic priorities.
    • Provide financial support to the sales team for contract renewals.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to maintain a list of improvement initiatives, achievements and impacts on reaching sales and profitability targets.
    • Perform profitability analysis by product, customer, channel down to the EBITDA and highlight low performers to business leaders to help articulate profit enhancement measures.
    • Prepare monthly compensation reports to support HR
    • Assist with the integration of acquired businesses. (Newly acquired Prestone)
    • Ad-hoc analysis and financial modeling

 

  • Analytical tools and system
    • Be a key resource to prepare and support the migration to new ERP Microsoft D365 by implementing best-in-class finance and business processes.
    • Maintain data accuracy in our BI platform
    • Support the roll-out of our BI platform and work with our IT team to improve and expand its usage across all areas of the business. 

Key skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance
  • 6+ years of progressive financial experience in similar capacity
  • CPA or working towards designation
  • Open to candidates with only audit experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-pace environment and to juggle several priorities simultaneously
  • Hands-on finance experience in preparing budgets, forecast and managing financials
  • Highly analytical and detail oriented
  • Strong financial modeling and analysis skills, including experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize and handle multiple simultaneous assignments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate financial information to a non-financial audience in a clear and concise manner
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerBI.  Excel modeling skills (Pivot Tables and Sum if Formulas)
  • Vena, Workiva or Microsoft D365 would be an asset
  • Fluent in English is mandatory in both writing and speaking and bilingualism (French and English) is highly preferable
  • Authorized to work in Canada
