RAM is a project delivery firm specializing in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering and Advisory services across Canada. RAM is searching for a motivated and experienced individual in Vancouver, BC. The successful candidate will be an individual that enjoys a challenging, professional, and dynamic workplace and contributing to the success of a hardworking team.

Project Delivery

  • Overall project leadership;
  • Provide health, safety and environmental leadership;
  • Manage consultants/contractors and respond to technical inquiries;
  • Team leadership, including the coordination of resources;
  • Meeting/workshop facilitation and leadership;
  • Effectively plan, implement and manage all common site services;
  • Provide value engineering assistance and constructability input;
  • Contract administration leadership;
  • Stakeholder management and engagement;
  • Permitting management;
  • Indigenous engagement;
  • Project reporting (via meeting minutes, project status reports/memos, etc.), and field reviews;
  • Monitor budget and progress of construction work;
  • Act as the key contact on site with clients, stakeholders, sub-consultants, contractors and support staff; and
  • Chair and attend site meetings and communicate directly with clients, maintaining a respectful and professional working relationship.

Business Development

  • Responsible for Business Development and the pursuit of new clients for the Construction Management (CM) department including tracking and evaluating all opportunities;
  • Actively contribute to growing RAM’s revenue and obtain client satisfaction by performance excellence; 
  • Lead and participate in RFP processes for various CM opportunities; 
  • Collaborate with other divisions to actively promote RAM and its other services;
  • Identify and secure partnership opportunities; 
  • Maintain key client relationships; and 
  • Travel as required for both projects and client development.

 People Management

  • Lead the CM team, manage people, and advise on training and professional development for staff;
  • Manage company staff working on specific projects in construction management roles; 
  • Create the annual CM department strategy, and set key performance indicators for the department and staff; 
  • Establish succession planning initiatives for key roles; and
  • Lead recruitment of key staff.

Ideal Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field;
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in construction management, preferably within engineering consulting or construction industries;
  • Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng.) through Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) or equivalent;
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is an asset;
  • Safety certifications like Occupational First Aid Level 2/3 or Construction Safety Officer (CSO) preferred;
  • Strong leadership and team management skills;
  • Knowledge of construction techniques, equipment, materials, and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project);
  • Effective contract administration skills, including managing budgets, change orders, and timelines;
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills to address real-time challenges;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage teams, clients, and stakeholders; and
  • Familiarity with WorkSafeBC regulations and local construction safety standards.
