We’re looking for our next Finance Analyst (Financial Reporting). Could it Be You?

The purpose of the Financial Analyst is to provide support to the finance team with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting needs.

 

What’s it like working as a Finance Analyst (Financial Reporting) at Questrade?

The Financial Analyst works under the direction of the Manager, Financial Reporting in assisting with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting as well as ad hoc projects.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Assisting monthly consolidation process in Netsuite. Preparing consolidation journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations using BlackLine.
  • Preparation of quarterly financial statements, covenant reporting packages, and Statistics Canada Survey.
  • Analysis and reconciliation of financial data.
  • Preparation of annual financial statements including notes for both consolidated and non-consolidated entities.
  • Preparation of supporting schedules and reconciliations.
  • Providing support during annual audits.
  • Coordinating with various departments to obtain information for reporting needs.
  • Netsuite report maintenance.
  • Review of chart of account mapping for new subsidiaries and acquisitions.
  • Ad hoc projects as required, including some regulatory reporting assistance.
  • Providing coverage for other team members.

  • Hold a Post-secondary degree / diploma in a related field
  • Hold a CPA designation or designation in progress
  • Have 2+ years practical experience in a finance department or accounting firm
  • Have advanced Excel skills
  • Have experience with IFRS
  • Have solid experience with financial statements, including direct involvement in preparation and notes
  • Have excellent communication skills and experience interacting with all levels of leadership, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Are a results-driven individual with strong problem solving skills
  • Are able to work in fast paced environments, maintain excellent attention to detail and prioritize work within tight deadlines

 

Additional kudos if you…

  • Have NetSuite and BlackLine experience
  • Have practical experience within the financial services industry
