JOB SUMMARY

 

As an Azure Integration Developer, you will be involved in all aspects of enterprise and customer integration, partnering with delivery teams to design, develop and maintain efficient and high-quality integrations connecting data, applications and third parties that support business processes and customer needs, leveraging the Azure Integration Services (AIS) platform.  In this role, you will have to analyze, maintain, and evolve the integration processes, current or future, to enhance the company’s services, and improve their performance and efficiency. 

 

THIS IS A 12 MONTHS CONTRACT POSITION 

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Principal actor of end-to-end implementation process with various Metro and client systems (HRIS/ERP/CRM/Supply Chain Systems, etc.).
  • Gather and analyze business and customer requirements to identify and prioritize opportunities to improve efficiencies and processes through integration.
  • Design and implement integration flows and enhancements, including API, EDI, and/or other file-based integrations.
  • Partner with development and design teams to support and provide oversight in designing and developing integration solutions and prototypes/PoCs.
  • Key resource in migration of legacy system to modernized Azure Integration Services platform.
  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 integration support.
  • Determine, conduct, and automate integration tests, load tests, and performance tests, including facilitating set-up of test data and accounts.
  • Prepare and manage technical documentation and self-service resources on integrations.
  • Proactively monitor integration performance and troubleshoot, resolve, and report integration issues to impacted teams and stakeholders.
  • Adhere to established development and integration processes, best practices, and standards.
  • Provide training and support on implemented solutions, as required.
  • Use user and stakeholder feedback to guide the development of new products and integration enhancements.
  • Participate in integration vendor and tool selection to meet business needs and support development team workflows.
  • Promote a collaborative team environment and work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve goals.

 

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong knowledge of integration design and development processes (e.g. development, testing, debugging).
  • Demonstrable experience in data integration and workflow scripting.
  • Proficiency with data modeling, ETL mapping process, manipulation, and distribution between applications.
  • Strong knowledge in designing, developing, and optimizing Azure Integration Services (AIS) including Logic Apps, Logic app Connectors, Azure Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, Azure Data Factory, Azure Storage, Power Automate (Microsoft Flow) etc.
  • Experience in EDI standards and specifications (X12, EDIFACT, etc.) is an asset.
  • Experience in Encryption and security method is an asset.
  • Strong proficiency in relevant database and programming languages (e.g. Java, C++, C#,  SQL/T-SQL, ReactJS, Python, etc.).
  • Experience with system integration technologies (e.g. RESTful APIs, OAUTH 2.0, event brokers, data virtualization).
  • Knowledge on VS Code or Visual Studio to develop through these software (ideally with Azure DevOps deployment knowledge).
  • Experience with integration platforms (e.g. MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services, Boomi, Informatica, etc.).
  • Ability to convert business requirements to business processes and technical designs.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-based setting and alone.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
  • Adaptability and a willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and frameworks.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following: Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, or equivalent applied experience.
  • 2 – 3 years of experience in software development.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in integration engineering.
  • At least 2+ years experience in developing integrations using Microsoft’s Azure Application Integration environment, including utilization in Logic Apps, Function Apps, Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, and API Management.
  • At least 3+ years experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
  • Certification in Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP), is an asset.
  • Certification in Integration Platforms (MuleSoft, Azure Integration Services, Boomi, Informatica, WebMethods), is an asset.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
  • Background in Supply Chain, Transportation, etc. is an asset.
