We’re currently looking for a Graphic Designer Specialist who values the same things we do; honest communication, excellent workmanship, providing top tier service, and taking ownership in their work. This position will report to the Creative Brand Manager, and ensure that the products, services, and product lines that fall under the Phantom brand resonate with current and potential customers.  As a “quasi” internal agency, they will execute on the creative and brand direction under the direction of the Creative Brand Manager and in collaboration with the B2C and B2B Marketing Managers and other internal stakeholders.  Furthermore, the role is working with external suppliers and agencies to bring the Phantom brand alive.

What you'll be doing:

(Included but are not limited to, the following):

 

  • Liaise closely with the Creative Brand Manager on all marketing initiatives that require graphic design.
  • Update and/or create imagery, layout, color and design treatments of collateral pieces, educational presentations, and other key design projects – digital or traditional media.
  • Create and deliver a broad range of marketing pieces to promote Phantom Screens with Network Partners, and internal and external audiences (consumers & professionals).
  • Collaborate with marketing team members to identify appropriate marketing solutions for internal and external stakeholders using existing templates and marketing portfolio items.
  • Support the Creative Brand Manager and various internal teams with the development of custom collateral pieces, business proposals, PowerPoint presentations, and more.
  • Provide design support to the distributor network where creative work is required, such as designing advertisements, providing signage materials, creating vehicle wraps, handling special image requests, and more.
  • Work with the Materials Department to maintain collateral inventory levels, track and make changes, and notify the Creative Brand Manager of pieces due for edits and/or reprinting.
  • Provide logistical and design support as needed for special events and tradeshows.
  • Organize downloadable art files and documents that are available to our channel partners via Phantom’s intranet system.
  • Organize and maintain Phantom’s image and video (digital assets) libraries.
  • Edit the annual on-line pricing catalogue as it relates to imagery, design, and proofing.
  • Organize and deliver (print ready) art files to external agencies and professionals relating to the development of marketing literature where applicable.
  • Offer ongoing ideas and feedback to the design of the corporate website, distributor websites, social media channels and support online graphics updates that reflect the corporate direction.
  • Support the internal adoption of current branding, communication policies, and correspondence.
  • Assist in the development of the annual Strategic Marketing Plan by contributing ideas and recommending initiatives to meet Phantom’s marketing goals.
  • Assist in the creative process and brainstorming for upcoming marketing campaigns.

 

What you need for this role:

  • Organized, methodical and able to remain calm and focused; can accomplish multiple and changing priorities by appropriately structuring workflow.
  • A keen understanding of the need to maintain confidentiality when coming into contact with sensitive information.
  • Develop, adapt, and work with the Phantom Screens brand vision and standards to deliver effective work that stays on brand.
  • Equally comfortable working independently or as a contributor in a team environment.
  • A keen understanding of team dynamics with the ability to work independently as necessary.
  • A natural ability to understand, and learn, graphic design principles.
  • Demonstrate creative aptitude and an eye for exceptional design.
  • Strong understanding of both digital and traditional marketing eco-systems to guide and develop high-quality creative work that delivers business results.
  • Excellent skill set in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat.
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and demonstrated accurate keyboarding skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Google Workspace, including Docs, Sheets, Drive, Slides, and more.
  • Proficiency in Canva, Hubspot, Hootsuite and other SaaS solutions is an asset.
  • Must have experience in digital marketing design and content strategy, including website, social media, and mobile digital tools.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills; interacting comfortably and confidently in writing or orally with internal and external contacts at all levels.
  • Keep current with graphic design trends and developments with an eye to best practices.
  • Aptitude to balance strategic business thinking with tactical application.
  • Ability to present to high-level audiences/key stakeholders.
  • Experience working with creative agencies, photographers, videographers, external vendors and printing houses.
  • Occasional travel throughout the USA and Canada may be required.

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years post-secondary education in a Marketing / Graphic Design discipline
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a graphic design role within a marketing department or consultative agency is preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday – 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
  • Hybrid Remote – minimum one visit to the office per month
  • 4 to 5 trips across north America per year
