Description:

You will assist the F&B Supervisors and Manager with day-to-day operations and organizational matters. Your primary role will include being a high energy, enthusiastic leader of the Great Hall, the central base-of-the-mountain cafeteria-style restaurant. You will set an example for the overall operations in these establishments ensuring maximum sales, high service standards and the overall FOH staff and guest experience.

 

Essential Functions

  • Ensure high standards are met or exceeded in the Great Hall by encouraging employees to do their job to the best of their abilities and regular recognition of all FOH staff.
  • Ensure all front line staff are working in a productive and efficient manner and offer suggestion from the cleaning duties if needed. 
  • You are responsible for the daily opening of the restaurant.  These tasks are outlined in the training manual.
  • Keep an eye on inventory levels of disposable goods to ensure that par levels are reached and short falls do not occur. Inform Resort Chef when product ordering is needed.
  • Ensure all aspects of the Great Hall FOH are running according to operating standards.  If any employee needs a break or there are any jobs that need an extra person you will be expected to give assistance.
  • At the end of the day you must make sure all staff have finished any cleaning duties assigned to their station, their cash outs have been completed, they have signed their timesheets and the restaurant is ready for the next days business.
  • Ensure daily “In the hallway” meetings are attended on your scheduled shift to get staff involved with the days events and any general information about the resort such as daily specials, weather forecast and expected business levels based on occupancy.
  • Ensure outlets are safe for staff and guests. Report any deficiencies immediately to F&B Supervisor, Manager or Resort Chef. 
  • Ensure clean, safe and organized storage rooms.  When beverage orders and disposable goods arrive ensure proper organization and easy access of product
  • Ensure front line staff completes daily and weekly cleaning lists.  See cleaning lists as reference.

 

Experience/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • Previous experience in a high volume food and beverage outlet.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft word, excel, publisher an asset.
