Lift operator Team Leaders are to set an excellent example for all lift staff, in personal appearance, conduct, and work ethic.  They are the support system for all lift operators.

You will ensure the proper, efficient, and courteous loading and unloading of our guests.  You will inspect, record, and report the condition of all lift machinery. You will naturally provide excellent customer relations and have an extensive knowledge of current activities and events.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the daily set up, maintenance, and closure of chair lifts and lift areas. 
  • Leading operators in the punctual daily set up, operation, and closing, to ensure each lift station meets our safety and appearance standards.
  • Completing daily lift log, training logs, accident, incident, and safety reports promptly
  • Fulfill duties as a lift operator for operator breaks and/or absence.
  • Ensure areas surrounding assigned lift are neat and clean, including collecting garbage from lift areas, receptacles, and under lift lines.
  • Ensure lift stations have all supplies and tools required for operation.
  • Assist with the closure of runs and/or other duties as assigned.
  • Assist with operator training and provide daily feedback of operator performance.
  • Actively direct the proper and efficient loading and unloading of guests of all ability levels, through constant communication, awareness, and decision making.  
  • Execute the daily pre-operational inspection of lift machinery to accurately complete a legal lift-log document.  Any irregularities are reported to lift maintenance and the log is then filed for future reference in the event of legal matters. 
  • Knowledgeably and efficiently administer emergency procedures such as lift breakdown, evacuation, fire, avalanche, and accident reporting. 

 

Experience/Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 months as a Panorama Mountain Resort lift operator. 
  • Successfully complete the lift operations orientation/training session and exam.
  • Ability to foster excellent guest relations and promote positive interactions with guests. 
  • Ability to promote teamwork, motivate self, and others.
  • Have knowledge of lift operation standards, safety policies, and emergency procedures.
  • Have excellent attendance, punctuality, and must always follow Panorama Mountain Village Policies and Procedures.
