About Us

Revelstoke Mountain Resort (RMR) is a division of Canada’s largest privately held hospitality company, Northland Properties Corporation (NPC), and since its inception in 2007, we have gained a reputation for legendary powder, big mountain terrain, and small-town charm.  We are seeking a talented Marketing Manager to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing unforgettable mountain experiences.

Position Overview:

Revelstoke Mountain Resort (RMR) is seeking an experienced and innovative Marketing Manager to lead and execute the annual Marketing Plan for RMR and its subsidiaries. This role is pivotal in shaping the resort’s image, attracting new visitors, and driving revenue through various campaigns, digital marketing, partnerships, and promotions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the tourism industry in British Columbia, have a strong background in digital marketing, and be passionate about promoting the unique experiences that Revelstoke offers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning:
    • Create tailored campaigns to attract visitors from key target markets, including local, regional, national, and international campaigns.
    • Work with the Marketing Director and various agencies to determine the right marketing mix for media distribution and paid advertising.
  • Digital Marketing:
    • Oversee the digital marketing efforts for RMR and Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing (STHS), including website management, content updates, and liaising with digital agencies.
    • In conjunction with the Social Media Coordinator, develop and execute paid advertising campaigns using RMR’s various social media channels.
    • Utilize analytics to track performance, optimize campaigns, and report on ROI.
  • Email Marketing:
    • Lead the creation of compelling marketing emails with an emphasis on engaging content and clear CTAs.
    • Utilize automation to optimize email delivery and enhance the guest experience.
    • Manage the email marketing calendar to ensure timely campaign execution.
  • Ancillary Marketing:
    • Work with department stakeholders in Food & Beverage, Retail, Rentals, Mountain Sports School, Events, and STHS, to create and execute marketing plans for each respective business unit.
    • Support the Marketing Advisor(s) with the execution of marketing tactics for the ancillary revenue divisions listed above.
    • As needed, provide support for graphic design and collateral production.
  • Leadership
    • Manage and mentor direct reports with a focus on collaboration and building a high-performing team.
    • Collaborate with the Marketing Director and other department Managers to foster a fun work environment with a healthy office culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in the ski sector, tourism, or outdoor recreation.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tools, including website CMS platforms and email marketing software.
  • Proficient with the Meta Ads platform.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and storytelling skills.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate new ideas and solve problems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for skiing, snowboarding, and a recreation-forward lifestyle.

Compensation:

A competitive compensation package will be provided based upon qualifications, experience, and skill set. The salary range for this position is between $60,000 - $68,000 per year. Further details will be discussed in a personal interview.
