Job Title: Snow Plow Driver

Location: Grouse Mountain

Department: Base Operations

Reports to: Mountain Operations Manager / Base Operations Assistant Manager

Role Status: Part Time, Hourly, Seasonal

Job Summary:

Perform snow removal duties with focus on quality and timely execution. Operate heavy-duty pick-up trucks and loaders with mounted snow plows and salters in a safe and productive manner. Record keeping of work completed, equipment inspections, and service logs. Will be working mostly independently or with a team on more severe weather events.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Plowing, snow removal, and salting of Grouse Mountain parking lots, roadways, and surrounding areas.
  • Operating various types of vehicles including pickup trucks, forklift, skid steer, and/or backhoe loader.
  • Safe operation of all plow vehicles, salters, and heavy machinery in adverse conditions.
  • General maintenance of all plow trucks, plows, and salters.
  • Shoveling and removal of snow from all public areas, walkways, and stairs.
  • Record keeping.
  • Other duties as required.

 

Required Qualifications, Abilities, and Working Conditions

  • Available to be on call for evenings and overnight shifts as required.
  • Must be punctual, reliable, and responsible.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Must be organized and possess a strong work ethic.
  • Successful team contributor and able to work independently.
  • Perform tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying winter weather conditions.
  • Must be mechanically inclined.
  • Plow equipment / heavy equipment operation experience preferred.
  • Clean driver's abstract. 
  • Minimum Class 5 Driver’s License

 

Compensation and Benefits

 

From $23.85/hour to $24.57/hour
