Egis Group, a leading global player in the construction engineering and mobility services sectors, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team. This role will oversee the financial operations of our North American entities.

As the CFO, you will be instrumental in leading the financial integration of current entities within the North America into Egis Group's global financial practices. This pivotal role involves aligning financial reporting, compliance, local organization and systems with global standards, and ensuring a smooth financial transition for newly acquired entities. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining financial integrity and consistency across the board, setting the stage for future growth and integration success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, direction, and management of the finance and accounting team.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's business goals.
  • Oversee the preparation of all financial reporting, including monthly financial statements, forecasts, and budgets with a specific focus on the P&L, Balance sheet and Cash.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
  • Work closely with senior executives to optimize the financial performance and strategic position of the company.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance department.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as CFO.
  • Strong emphasis on Canadian and US experience in managing complex, multi-legal entity structures.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
  • An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • BSc/BA in accounting, finance, or relevant field; MSc/MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CFA/CPA) is a plus.

 

Desired Experience:

  • Experience in guiding professional consulting firms through periods of transformation, including growth, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate new acquisitions and manage the financial aspects of the transition.
  • Familiarity with the engineering and infrastructure sectors, and the unique financial challenges they present.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing strategies that drive financial stability and growth in rapidly evolving industries.

 

Location: 

The preferred work location is Toronto; however, Egis is open to candidates throughout Canada or the US with a preference to those located in Eastern time zones.
