HOURS OF WORK:     35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
                                      This position has the option to participate in a modified work week schedule (37.5 hours/week) Monday to Friday, with the extra hours worked as one earned day off taken once every three-week scheduled cycle.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:   

To provide technical guidance and analysis of implementation and maintenance regarding technological approaches to automating and streamlining business processes and to analyze current business processes to identify efficiency opportunities or other relevant deliverables that leverage available technological resources.

1.    PROVIDE TECHNOLOGICAL EXPERTISE, GUIDANCE, AND ANALYSIS IN SUPPORT OF TECHNOLOGY-BASED INITIATIVES:
a)    Implement and maintain enterprise business technologies and automations to support business automation projects and maintain stable performance levels that meet business needs;
b)    Implement new automated processes to meet business requirements using a variety of methods to deliver innovative technological solutions; 
c)    Implement and maintain technological specifications and requirements gathering system to support the operations through increased efficiency of data (input), management of information (reports) and quality checks and improvement (audit);
d)    Expand and explain technological specification requirements in an appropriate level of detail and manner suitable for use by those who must base their work on the requirements, tailoring message to audience; 
e)    Develop and implement solutions using Microsoft tools, such as Sharepoint 365, Power Automate, MsTeams, Power BI, Planner, Co-pilot, ChatGPT, and other AI Microsoft products;  
f)    Proactively identify gaps in technology strategies, policies, practices or standards;
g)    Implement technological improvements by assessing current situation, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements;
h)    Provide “hypercare” maintenance and support after solutions are deployed 
i)    Provide guidance on and lead technology roll-out plans to ensure smooth and efficient deployment of new technologies;
j)    Lead the examination of technological failures which cause or may cause an interruption to or a reduction in the quality of IT service;
k)    Liaise with business stakeholders to ensure operational, legislative and security needs are being met;
l)    Participate in requirements prioritization and propose new technology/product features;;
m)    Assist in developing and maintaining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for technologies to report on technological efficiency by using KPIs and KRIs;
n)    Provide advisory service to business units, project teams and external consultants on technological policies, procedures, and best practices; and,
o)    Participate in meetings where technology matters are discussed.

2.     PROVIDE PLATFORM AND DATA ANALYSIS SERVICES AND EXPERTISE:
a)    Provide support related to technology, software, application programs and complex network communications by performing duties such as diagnosing and resolving problems;
b)    Respond to technical problems with technology and find solutions to minimize downtime; 
c)    Work with IT department and communications team to release technology news updates and bulletins related to technological and process improvements to facilitate and encourage the adoption of proper technological procedures and practices for employees;
d)    Develop technological implementation and improvement training and assist in conducting associated trainings; and,
e)    Provide training to users on technology and answer employee questions.

3.    PERFORM OTHER RELATED DUTIES:
a)    Liaise with outside consultants and other organizations to give information about LABC technology and to ensure that their projects work with LABC systems;
b)    Evaluate existing and emerging technologies, identify requirements, analyze alternative products, prepare business cases, and make recommendations;
c)    Monitor and analyze technological performance;
d)    Keep supervisor informed by preparing performance reports;
e)    Provide end-user support and assistance, and one-on-one training;
f)    Develop procedures for technology replacement and scheduled obsolence; and
g)    Perform other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Basic Requirements
•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or equivalent combination of education and work experience
•    Minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience as outlined in the rated requirements
•    Minimum 5 years of Sharepoint development experience
•    Minimum 3 years of Power Automate and Power Apps experience
•    Minimum of 2 years Power BI experience
•    Experience with Microsoft Artificial Intelligence tools and integration
•    Good understanding of Microsoft Co-Pilot integration with various platforms
•    Previous project management experience considered an asset.

•    Strong organizational skills including the ability to plan, coordinate and monitor a significant number of functions simultaneously 
•    Understanding of various software applications and technologies as well as their practical application and architecture in an organization
•    Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and to present concepts and solutions in non-technical language.
