Every day, more than 1,200 people work with the YMCAs of Québec network, providing a variety of services that create positive change in people’s lives. 

 

Inspired by the challenge of sales and able to identify customer needs through active listening, the advisor's main mandate will be to advise potential customers on membership and ensure subscriber satisfaction. We're looking for people who reflect the YMCA's image: smiling, dynamic and passionate.

 

Our challenges

 

  • Provide exceptional guided tours of the facilities and provide potential customers with all relevant information (services, prices, benefits, etc.).
  • Listen to customers to identify their needs and interests, and guide them towards the services that best suit their individual profiles.
  • Offer, in person and over the phone, our various services using a consultative sales approach.
  • Promote the YMCA's offer and related services, and inform members and visitors of current promotions.
  • Call potential customers following a guided tour or promotional trial, or members with a view to renewing their membership.
  • Accompany members in person or by telephone, using a variety of strategies, to offer support in achieving their health and wellness goals, to answer questions or comments, or to respond to general inquiries about membership.
  • Ensure subscriber satisfaction according to YMCA customer service standards.
  • Participate in any other tasks related to the position and proposed by the Director of Sales and Customer Experience.
  • Adhere to YMCA policies and procedures governing the protection of children and vulnerable persons.
  • Understand and integrate the value of philanthropy within his/her position and the association, and participate in fundraising activities or events.

The person we're looking for to carry out his or her mission successfully, the advisor should :

 

- hold a post-secondary diploma;

- have a minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience in sales and customer service;

- have a minimum knowledge of health, physical activity and aquatics (an asset);

- Demonstrate proficiency with computer systems;

- Demonstrate good telephone skills;

- demonstrate effective management of priorities;

- demonstrate rigor and natural empathy, and be results-oriented;

- oral and written fluency in French and English;

- have no legal impediments related to the job.
