Construction Estimator

We are engaged in the entire project cycle from green field studies, feasibility, site investigation, design, construction, commissioning, operations and maintenance, and closure. This allows our professionals to challenge themselves while gaining valuable engineering and project management experience on fascinating projects.

We are looking for a Construction Estimator to join our Perth-team to work closely with our project managers, clients and other talented professionals committed to deliver high quality engineering and geoscience services. Reporting to the Manager, WA, the role will provide a wide range of project support. We are ideally looking for a motivated team player who has project scheduling, cost estimation,  project controls experience.

We value your:

• Previous project control and project cost estimating experience.
• Understanding of fundamental project management principles.
• Familiarity with document management systems (e.g. Aconex or Newforma).
• Familiarity with accounting and project management platforms (e.g. BST Enterprise).
• Advanced skills with Microsoft suite (including MS Word, MS Excel and Power BI).
• Demonstrated ability and experience with Primavera 6 and/or MS Project software.
• Punctuality, reliability and commitment to the job – these are key requirements.
• Attention to detail, good organization skills and your ability to see a task through to the end.
• Self-motivation and initiative.
• Tertiary qualifications in engineering or construction.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Support Project Managers to schedule, coordinate and deliver projects.
• Prepare and deliver estimates and cost plans for engineering and construction projects.
• Prepare project management reports.
• Implement KCBs ISO accredited Integrated Management System on projects.
• Respond to client/vendor inquiries, maintain good client relations.

• Assist with day-to-day ad hoc project related tasks.
• Prepare and collate tender submissions.

• Operate in accordance with KCB’s H&S guidelines and track project related QHSE requirements.
