We have an exciting opportunity for a Water Resource Engineer to join our Brisbane based engineering team. You will have the opportunity to work on large-scale world-class projects both in Australia and internationally.

This role will give you the opportunity to:

  • Undertake hydrological assessments using Australian and Rainfall and Runoff 2019 using your knowledge of relevant industry standard software for hydrologic (RORB, WBNM, URBS, XPRAFTs etc.).
  • Conduct 2D hydraulic modelling to support the characterisation of flood risk and the design of surface water management systems using HECRAS or TUFLOW.
  • Perform dam breach and runout assessments to industry leading standards.
  • Undertake water balance modelling for mine water management systems using GoldSim.
  • Develop engineering solutions for a broad range of projects including tailings storage facilities, water dams, levees, diversions, roads, water/sediment dams, etc. from concept though to detailed design.
  • Contribute to engineering reports, drawings, specifications, bill of quantities and cost estimates.
  • Support project management and client management duties, and contribute to report writing and presentation needs as projects require.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and work continually to develop business.
  • Work in a wonderful small company culture.
  • Travel within Australia and internationally to various field locations.

If you are registered, or eligible to register as a Professional Engineer in Queensland (RPEQ), have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering and have at least 2 years of relevant experience in engineering consulting, we want to hear from you!
