The Role

The District Visual Merchandiser will be responsible for ensuring that the brand’s visual standards are consistently met across multiple stores and locations within their district. In addition, the District Visual Manager will ensure to deliver optimal strategies towards team development, driving sales and enhancing the brand image to multiple locations contributing to the overall success of the brand's retail operations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide visual merchandising training to stores based on company directives and guidelines and supporting the sales floor (including new store openings).
  • Understand and implement all company plans, global directives and review each week to check whether the actions taken from the previous week have made a significant contribution to sales.
  • Create company directive facing plans for each store, based on demographics and customer trends
  • Create appealing and eye-catching visual displays that lead customers through the sales floor.
  • Produce window displays, signs, and interior displays, floor plans and special promotion displays.
  • Identify key messages and set a clear image of the end result.
  • Work collaboratively with store manager and in-store merchandiser to present new and creative visual concepts and ideas.
  • Act in accordance with the organization's culture, product, image, and target market.
  • Create displays to promote new product launches and reflect seasonal themes.
  • Perform other store related functions such as cash wrap support, fitting room support, replenishment and restocking support, and customer service support.

Staff Development

  • Build our team by welcoming and supporting onboarding of new employees and training visual techniques.
  • Build and maintain relationships with store team, peers, and relevant partners.
  • Support development of high performing staff to maximize productivity.
  • Provide timely feedback and active informal training to staff.
  • Initiate and communicate team objectives and updates with Management.
  • Ensure staff are adhering to JD/ size?/ Livestock Sales Culture and service expectations.

Store Functionality
  • Participate in execution of floor management as needed.
  • Utilize merchandising skill set through understanding of product density, adjacencies, and customer flow.
  • Ensure the right quantity of stock is in the right place at the right time through strategic merchandising.
  • Maintain proper presentation of merchandise in accordance to corporate directives.
  • Efficiently and accurately support with shipping and receiving of merchandise.
  • Perform inventory counts upon corporate office direction.
  • Participate in stock room set-up and organization.
  • Track product arrivals and store capacity based on corporate line sheets.
  • Support cleanliness and maintenance of physical store to create a safe and comfortable shopping experience.

Skills/Experience/Knowledge Needed:

  • 3-5 years of visual merchandising management, experience in fashion retailing considered an asset.
  • Strong passion and interest in visual merchandising.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and G-Suite products.
  • Interested in fashion and able to think from the “customers point of view”.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to lead and train a team.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
