The Assistant Project Manager, Land Development will be responsible for overseeing the land development operations for communities in and around Houston, TX with a focus on developing individual single-family lots within master planned communities. They will manage various construction activities such as community infrastructure, hardscaping, landscaping, and amenities.

What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor Degree in a relevant field of study preferred
  • 0-3 years experience in land development. Must be able to read, understand and evaluate civil engineering/development plans.
  • Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to successfully multi-task and utilize project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Computer proficient with strong Microsoft Office experience

What You'll Be Doing Each Day
  • Conduct critical path analysis for ongoing and future development phases. Review and approve construction drawings, and identify potential issues and areas to value engineer to ensure construction process is efficient and cost effective.
  • Manage land development schedules and budgets, as well as monitor and manage the progress of development contractors. Conduct on-site meetings with contractors to ensure they adhere to their timelines and provide timely updates to land team regarding status of development.
  • Build relationships with engineers and other various consultants to administer contracts, change orders, and contractor progress payments.
  • Work closely with consultants and providers to ensure that utilities such as cable, gas, power, etc. are delivered to the community in timely manner.
  • Liaise with community homebuilding superintendents on an as-needed basis to address issues and concerns throughout the construction process.
  • Represent the company at MUD meetings on a monthly basis.
  • Serve on community HOA board(s).
