Groupe Marcelle is currently looking for a Supervisor, Quality Control for a permanent full-time position.
Under the supervision of the Senior Director, Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs, the candidate will have the opportunity to coordinate the activities of the quality control laboratory and ensure a range of operational activities.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE
- Direct, motivate, train and supervise the work of laboratory employees and ensure their progression.
- Plan and supervise the analysis of samples (finished products, raw materials, packaging components, stabilities, validation samples, etc.) to meet deadlines.
- Ensure that parameters for specifications of raw and packaging materials, bulk products and finished products are well defined in our LIMS system, including methods of analysis, in accordance with applicable standards.
- Investigate and report on out-of-specification results (OOS), out-of-trend results and quality non-conformities within established deadlines, in conjunction with experts from our various departments.
- Ensure that equipment and instruments are maintained in a qualified and calibrated condition.
- Coordinate the review of laboratory procedures.
- Oversee the validation and development of HPLC analytical methods.
- Optimize analytical methods while increasing laboratory efficiency.
- Manage the stability program.
- Support the various production departments within the company by acting as a decision-maker in quality control.
- Act as subject matter expert for internal customer requests, internal audits or regulatory inspections.
- Develop and maintain performance indicators for quality control.
WE WOULD LIKE TO MEET YOU IF YOU HAVE
- University degree in science, preferably in chemistry, combined with a minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in personnel management.
- Excellent knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and technical knowledge of pharmaceutical analysis, pharmaceutical processes and quality control concepts.
- Knowledge of microbiology (an asset).
- Strong computer skills, and good knowledge of Microsoft applications.

- Bilingual or have advanced level of proficiency in French.

- Member of the Ordre des Chimistes du Québec (an asset).
