Groupe Marcelle is currently looking for a Maintenance Supervisor for a permanent full-time position.

 

Reporting to the Production Director, the Maintenance Supervisor will work closely with the Production Supervisors and her/his team of assemblers and technicians to ensure the performance of production equipment. She/he will be responsible for the efficient organization of line assembly to optimize line productivity.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE

  • Collaborate with supervisors, supervise assembly workers and electromechanics in the use and maintenance of plant and equipment.
  • Coordinate and assign assembly workers/technicians to the various line assemblies in order to meet production schedules.
  • Ensure that production instrument calibrations are carried out when applicable, and that follow-up records are kept up to date.
  • Ensure that preventive maintenance on production equipment is carried out as required, and that follow-up records are kept up to date.
  • Manage maintenance consumables inventory, purchases and budgets allocated to operational expenses.
  • Ensure follow-up to achieve team objectives.
  • Manage departmental capacity requirements, including hiring when required.
  • Contribute significantly to the achievement of production department performance objectives.
  • Ensure and manage employee health and safety.
  • Assist in the development of new products. 

WE WOULD LIKE TO MEET YOU IF YOU HAVE

  • College diploma (DEC) in an appropriate discipline (mechanical, electrical, industrial or mechanical engineering or other training deemed relevant).
  • 5 years or more experience in a similar role (industrial/manufacturing environment), with supervision of technical personnel.
  • Knowledge of cosmetics/pharmaceutical GMP's and general notions of Occupational Health & Safety.
  • Experience with packaging lines and general knowledge of utilities (steam, compressed air, chilled water, purified water, hot water).
  • Ability to make technical diagnoses, solve problems (important).
  • Ability to manage budgets and contracts.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Good command of Microsoft Excel and the Office suite, fluency with computerized production systems / ERP (JD Edwards) (a strong asset).
  • Mastery of LEAN processes and philosophy (an asset).
