Junior Business Analyst

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team in the scrap metal industry. The Business Analyst will report to Giampaolo Group Inc.’s Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis and will be responsible for developing business plans that support and introduce solutions for strategic issues necessary for the achievement of longer term goals and multi-year business targets. Including: changes or improvements to current business plans, scope, policies, and procedures. Additionally, to provide feasible recommendations to division management on how to optimize near-term growth.

What’s Expected:

• Work with department leadership to develop and maintain business plans the support and introduce solutions for strategic issues necessary for achievement of longer-term goals.  

• Provide support to department leaders and management through:
• Identifying and addressing key strategic issues
• Facilitating strategic discussions with relevant parties
• Generation and dissemination of analytical research that supports plans and initiatives
• Benchmarking, target setting, and continuous improvement of controllable variables to meet identified goals and objectives
• Scrutinize business performance results 

• Identifying strength, weaknesses, opportunities that contribute to the evaluation of operational effectiveness

• Provide analytical research to support the reasonableness of annual and 5 year business plan target expectations

What’s Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, Finance or Science.
• 1-2 years experience in a similar analyst role. Within thin a similar industry preferred

• Understanding of economics, financial analytics, market research, mathematics, and general business concepts/terminology 

• Demonstrated judgment and influencing skills 

• Analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
