Business Development Representative

Field Effect is currently looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) who will drive new business for Field Effect and our Managed Detection & Response solution.

As a BDR at Field Effect, you will be the first sales touch point in the partner journey and tasked with generating new sales opportunities by way of both marketing qualified leads and outbound sales. Specifically, you will:

• Identify, contact, and qualify decision makers from target accounts, including managed service providers (MSP), value-added-resellers (VAR), and small-to-mid sized businesses.
• Book prospect meetings for Account Executives with the ultimate goal of these meetings becoming a new pipeline opportunity for sales.
• Achieve your quota for generating new opportunities for sales.
• Call volumes of 70+ per day
• In your sales calls, understand a prospects pain points and how we solve for them, plus always take a values-based approach in your sales conversations.
• Develop your sales skills through regular one on ones, simulated/role play sales calls, and practicing with our sales playbook.
• Maintain comprehensive information, including call records and account status, in our CRM.
• Reporting on weekly/monthly/quarterly results
• Please note that occasional travel may be required for this role. 

Experience & skills we look for

• 6+ months in an SDR or similar role
• Track record of achieving quotas & understanding of sales performance metrics
• A high sense of urgency
• An interest in a career in sales
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• A competitive mindset with a desire to win
• Continuous improvement mindset
• Independence and ability to think critically while in a remote based role
• Experience working with a CRM system
• Reliable internet connection is required for this role.
