Reporting to the VP of Retail Banking, the Mobile Mortgage Advisor enhances member experiences by understanding individual financial needs, providing expert advice, and offering customized lending solutions. Operating outside traditional branch networks, the advisor expands our reach through effective networking and referrals, collaborating with the team to grow membership and strengthen relationships. This role focuses on expanding business through strategic networking, referrals, and close collaboration with our branch network, ultimately contributing to First Credit Union’s vision of building financially healthy communities. 

*Note: Compensation for the role is $60,000 base, plus commission. The earning potential for this role is expected to be $80,000 to $100,000+ based on volume.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Cultivates and nurtures strong relationships with members to understand their lending needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Proactively identifies and pursues new lending opportunities by engaging in strategic business development efforts, networking, and referrals.
  • Conducts comprehensive assessments of loan applications, ensuring accurate collection and evaluation of documentation.
  • Offers expert guidance on lending products and services, tailored to meet individual member requirements.
  • Collaborates closely with branch teams and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth and efficient processing and delivery of lending solutions.
  • Consistently strives to meet and exceed individual and team targets related to loan volume, profitability, and member satisfaction.
  • Stays updated of industry trends, regulatory updates, and credit union policies pertaining to lending practices, maintaining a high level of expertise in the field.
  • Delivers exceptional service to members, ensuring a positive and memorable experience throughout the lending process.
  • Harnesses the power of mobile technology and tools to efficiently serve members remotely and enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Engages in community outreach initiatives and promotion activities to raise awareness about the credit union and expand the member base within our communities.
  • Conducts comprehensive needs analysis, delivers tailored proposals, negotiates terms, and implements effective lending solutions.
  • Identifies opportunities to enhance member relationships, directing them to the appropriate team at First Credit Union for further services.
  • Processes documentation related to lending activities, including loan applications, approvals, and disbursements.
  • Ensures compliance with relevant laws, regulations and policies.

Required Experience, Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:

  • Secondary school diploma.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in financial services, preference given to experience within the Credit Union system.
  • Demonstrated understanding of lending principles and practices, with specific knowledge of consumer lending products and regulations.
  • Proven sales and business development acumen, with a track record of achieving targets and goals.
  • Education or equivalent experience with Products & Services, Fundamentals of Personal Financial Planning, Consumer & Residential Mortgage Lending, and Business Financial Statement Analysis.
  • Extensive knowledge of Wealthview banking system functionalities, including workplace operations and form utilization considered an asset.
