About the Position:

Reporting to the VP, Development, the Development Coordinator will collaborate with internal and external parties to support various elements of contract, document control, and deadline management.  This position plays a critical role in supporting the Development Team with planning and implementing property development for mid/ high-rise residential projects. 

The successful candidate will be required to conduct work at our Toronto office.

 Key Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare initial submissions, capture revisions, and finalize any relevant agreements.
  • Coordinate all aspects of development applications including applying for, tracking, and controlling deadlines as required for city applications and construction documentation.
  • Facilitate regulatory duties such as re-zoning, development permits, site plans, and building permits.
  • Coordinate due diligence and feasibility studies for investigating new development opportunities.
  • Coordinate and participate in meetings with external consultants.
  • Research zoning, official plan and environmental restrictions.
  • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with all city and administrative personnel.
  • Provide general support to the Development Team.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to multi-task effectively while remaining detail-oriented
  • Effective communication skills- both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills

Education and Experience:

  • Post-secondary degree in Real Estate, Land Use Planning, Architecture, Business, or other related education
  •  One (1) year minimum of relevant real estate development experience would be considered an asset
