Position Title: Client Impact Communications Lead
Reports To: AVP, Client Impact & Sustainability
Department:
Impact Team
Term:  Permanent Full-Time

 

 

Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.

Are you ready to be the steward of our Clear Communications Guide, steering its evolution and setting the gold standard to how we talk to our clients? We’re looking for a communications virtuoso to:  

 



What you will be doing:

  • Be the approving eye and guiding hand for client communications, infusing your expertise across our organization to polish our communication prowess.
  • Strategically lead the communication narrative for our Fair Treatment of Clients program, ensuring every message demonstrates our commitment.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and provide your thought leadership across various teams, empowering them to communicate with clarity and confidence.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to weave compelling communication plans that align seamlessly with project goals.
  • Champion the art of clear communication by training stakeholders in the ways of Equitable's guidelines.
  • Develop and curate Client Impact content for our SharePoint intranet and website, ensuring every word resonates with impact.

 

 


What you will bring:

  • A client-first mindset, with a passion for elevating every touchpoint.
  • A wealth of industry savvy including: in depth understanding of the lifecycle of insurance products and services and the impact to operations, distribution, product and marketing, sustainability and compliance across various lines of insurance business preferred.
  • Expertise in an array of insurance products, including: life, living benefits, group, segregated funds, annuities, and other guaranteed investment vehicles, and the ability to translate complexities into clear concepts.
  • Communication skills – excellent written communication skills, presentation, and influencing skills with a record of working with and developing broad relationships and partnerships with diverse teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to coach, inspire, and elevate the communication skills of those around you.
  • An innovative and adaptive thinker, with a knack for project management and a flair for strategic execution.
  • A self-starter mindset, brimming with initiative, sound judgment, and an eagle eye for detail.
  • Completion of a post-secondary degree relating to communications, and at least 5-7 years of related experience. A combination of education and work experience will also be considered.
  • Proficiency with common office software
