We are currently accepting applications for the Temporary Part-Time Cook position at Terrace Lodge!

Terrace Lodge "the heart of caring and sharing" Terrace Lodge is a 100-bed long-term care home in the Township of Malahide.  Situated in beautiful Elgin County, our home features private and semi-private accommodation with 24-hour nursing care.  Outdoor areas to relax with family, as well as living and dining areas are available for resident enjoyment.

Responsibilities:

As a member of the dietary team, the Cook is responsible for the preparation and production of all food served in the Home. The Cook also participates in menu presentation as well as produces high quality, nutritious and appetizing food while maintaining safe and sanitary food handling and work procedures.

What can you expect as an employee?

• Competitive compensation.  Our Dietary Aide salary is $25.82 - $26.22/hr and will receive 14% in lieu of benefits and 4% vacation pay, paid every pay.

Qualifications:

• Cook Diploma from a recognized college. Cook qualifications must meet current Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Regulations
• Current Food Handlers Certificate.
• Preference will be given to persons with experience in institutional food service set-up.

• Good verbal communication skills

   

         

Conditions of Employment:

• Successful completion of a police record check with vulnerable sector clearance.
• Satisfactory TB documentation.
